Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer (E&I) with experience in edible oil refining and packaging operations. The role is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical, instrumentation, and process control systems across refinery and packaging facilities. The engineer will oversee advanced equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain compliance with operational, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Systems

  • Maintain and manage electrical power distribution systems.
  • Review, interpret, and update electrical and power drawings.
  • Ensure safe operation of electrical systems in line with standards.
  • Instrumentation & Control
  • Troubleshoot control logic, PLC I/O, and logic flow controls.
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain SCADA systems; perform field troubleshooting.
  • Calibrate process instruments (flow meters, pressure and temperature controllers).
  • Test, calibrate, and maintain process control valves and VFDs.
  • Analyze data, identify root causes, and resolve control system faults.

Utilities & Plant Equipment

  • Operate and maintain utility equipment: generators, boilers, air compressors, chillers.
  • Support continuous operations through preventive and corrective maintenance. Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain ISO documentation, equipment history, and maintenance records.
  • Generate daily engineering reports and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Enforce safety protocols, GMP, and plant policies at all times.

Qualifications:

  • B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or
  • Instrumentation Engineering with 2–3 years of industrial experience; OR Diploma with 5–8 years of relevant industrial experience.
  • Prior experience in edible oil refinery / packaging / food processing industries is preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to think critically and analyse technical issues with attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, field instrumentation, and process automation.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of responsibility and ownership mindset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer operations.
